The story behind post-vaccine myocarditis is more complex—and less apocalyptic—than the headlines suggest. Myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle, can temporarily weaken the heart’s ability to pump blood, causing chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations,
or unusual fatigue. After mass vaccination campaigns began, doctors noticed a small but consistent pattern: rare cases, mostly in young men under 30, typically appearing a few days after the second dose of mRNA vaccines like Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna.
