Some insulated mugs are dishwasher-safe, but many are not.
High temperatures and water pressure can damage the vacuum seal between the walls.
Once the seal is compromised, the mug may no longer keep drinks hot or cold effectively.
Always check the manufacturer’s care instructions.

The same warning applies to some vacuum-insulated bottles, food jars, and thermoses.
Dishwasher heat can damage:
* seals
* insulation
* coatings
* printed decoration
If the product does not specifically state that it is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is usually safer.
